Default Country Selection for the Nationality Field on the Checkout Page

This article explains how to control the default country selection for the nationality field on Checkout page.

Site Preference: DefaultNationalityCountryID
This site preference enables control over the default selection for the nationality field in the passenger details section on the Checkout page. This preference value applies to all products.

Accepted values: Comma Separated Two-digit IATA country codes (e.g., US,CA,MX) OR Off

Behavior Based on Preference Value:

Single Country Code (e.g., CA):

1. The specified country (e.g., CA for Canada) will be selected by default and displayed in the nationality field for all passengers. Users can still change and select other nationalities in the booking flow.
   
   

Preference Left Blank:

1. The system's default nationality will be selected automatically and displayed in the nationality field. Users can still modify and select other nationalities.
   

Multiple Country Codes i.e. more than one IATA Code (e.g. IN,US) or Disabled (off):

1. No default nationality will be selected. Users must choose the nationality manually from the dropdown list. (Nationality field will display "Select" as an option by default, as shown below)
